RTS ship all around the world so please check the carriage information below and if in doubt please get in touch.
RTS does not seek to make money out of shipping. The website is set up with table rate shipping that reflects the packaging and shipping cost as closely as possible and you will see the cost in your basket prior to checkout.
COVID and other issues such as the driver shortages we hear of have affected shipping to all locations. The guidance below all comes with the caveat that at any time there can be a delay which is beyond our control, but such delays are still rare.
UK & Northern Ireland.
Standard Carriage 3-6 working days subject to location on all items.
Express Shipping (non CO2 items) next working day delivery for orders completed before 10:30am excluding weekends. To some areas I use Royal Mail 1st class recorded.
Express Shipping CO2 – next working day delivery for orders completed before 10:30am excluding weekends to English Mainland, Wales and Scottish Lowlands.
Express Shipping of CO2 to some parts of the Scottish Highlands, UK Islands and Northern Ireland is available but is only viable for larger orders as it is quite expensive. Please check first.
I use a combination of couriers and the Royal Mail for UK customers subject to the items ordered and the delivery location.
The Royal Mail treats the Channel Islands as rest of UK so any Non CO2 items can be shipped to the Channel Islands at the Standard UK rate.
CO2 Items are more difficult as Royal Mail will not handle. Channel Island Rates for CO2 items are for land/sea transport.
International Carriage (non CO2).
Standard Carriage typically takes 4-12 working days subject to location using Royal Mail International Signed, or Tracked & Signed where it is available.
Express Carriage – using a range of express couriers is typically is 2 – 7 working days.
The RTS shipping cost tables are set so that as the value of order increases, the express shipping becomes the better option, purely because sending high value orders by mail and/or over 2kg is also problematic and it is better to ship with a courier.
NB. In some locations the customs clearance procedures can create delays and the above times whilst typical, are a guide.
RTS can ship items with CO2 Cylinders internationally to many European and International locations – if in doubt check in advance. I don’t offer this through my website because it is done through a Dangerous Goods Shipping Specialist and each proposal needs assessing and quoting. A shipping table cannot be set up for this that will work effectively.
One key point – it is expensive to ship CO2 internationally and small orders just aren’t commercially viable. It is really only worth considering for orders over £1000 value as the shipping cost per cylinder drops as the volume increases.
Please contact RTS with your enquiry.
CO2 Gas Cylinders are UN class 2 Dangerous Goods and although there are certain exemptions in place, they are not the easiest items to ship especially internationally. If in doubt please ask.
